Inspired by my sea views of Swansea Bay and ‘The Great Wave’ by Katsushika Hokusai, I created ‘Y Ton’, which translates to ‘The Wave’ for the first Mini Print Wales project.

Working on a small scale, using soft-cut lino, I have carved the wave design in a circular technique with seagulls and salt spray, spilling away from the central design.
